This is a super useful product. Its basic formulation is a cream frost in a medium sized flip-top container - somewhere between the MAC shadows and blushes. The CCB can essentially be used anywhere (for the most part, although several come with warnings about lips or eyes) on your face, and I have seen it used, truly, in every way - as an eye base, cheek base, lip base, blush, lipstick, lipstain, eyeshadow, and highlighter. Between the multitasking and the conveniently sized container, I find that this is a perfect item to keep in my purse.
---
A caveat about this review - while the permanent collection CCBs are all frosts, the two that I have, from MAC's Ungaro collection, are totally different. Fresh Morning is a rrrrrrreally soft and dense pale, lavender/white pink, almost chalky, and definitely matte in finish. Its sort of way too pale and matte for me to use it on its own, but it works wonderfully as an eye/lip/cheek base. The other one, Crushed Bougainvillea, is almost a stain. It is a super pigmented deep magenta which feels creamy going on, but dries out nicely, leaving just the gorgeous color. I have used it for eyeshadow, cheek and lip stain.

While the two that I have are sort of abnormal, I can say that they are seriously long-lasting, that the formulations feel great on your skin, and you need so little product that even this little pot will last you forever. I can only assume that the same can be said for the permanent CCBs - what do you ladies think? Have you tried them?
Likes: A serious multitasker!
Dislikes: I wish there were more non-frosts. Frost can be a bit much for those of us over 30.

From MAC . . . "Versatile and multi-purpose, Cream Colour Base can be applied directly to bare skin, or layered over foundation, moisturizer, or powder. Apply with a brush, sponge, or fingers. Colour effects range from a light veil to highly dramatic, depending on method of application."
