lol, so this is going to be a little challangeing for me, but I'll try to be as clear, coherent and articulate in English as I can...
I want to know how to match different finishes of products in my make-up in a correct way. I'm tired of the all over matte look, only with the skin having a glowing finish. I want to use some shimmery, pearly eyeshadows in bronze colours, but is it right if I pair them up with a frosty blush and glossy lips? I really want to stay away from the discoball looking face, but at the same time I really want to pull off a more dewy look.
Is it ok if I use a pearly colour as the base colour on my lid, and also a pearly shadow in the crease? Would it be better a matte colour to contour better?
I mean.. is there a guideline to help me match shimmer finishes with matte finishes properly?
I'm sorry for being.. a bit galling with this subject, but I've no idea how to.. scrape all together. thank you :)

Aww, and I almost forgot. I bought a cream blush (well it's more like a gel) from the body shop. I love it dearly, the colour is perfect, the staying power astonished me. But sometimes when I use it.. i don't know how to put this, but looks from a completely different picture. It does mix, but doesn't match. Seems that I can wear it only in natural looks, only with mascara and a lipgloss.. is there anything I can do?

Great question Lolita! There are no hard and fast rules about texture but I like to play it easy, I have 2 shimmery areas on my face at once. If my eyes are shimmery, I may do a shimmery blush, or glossy lips, but not both. That is just my personal preference ... and the older you get, the more you want to done down the shimmer. At 34 I don't want to be a sparkly mess :) As for on the eyes, I usually use all shimmery or sheen products, but that is because I have very little matte shadows. Plus as you blend, you tend to give everything a shimmery or sheen-look. I like shimmer or sheen, but not frost, as you age, frost becomes your enemy and we are new enemies, but you are young and don't have to worry about that for a long time! My highlight color (inner eyes and brows) is always shimmery. So basically, after my long ramble, do whatever looks good on your skin tone and what looks the best to you :)

aww, I see now. so two features at a time, to keep the balance.. eyes-cheeks, cheeks-lips.. I get it, and it's all shaping up. I've seen lots of girls here who are just.. way too sparkly. And not with big chunks of shimmer, but all of the contrary.. fine bits of shimmer and light, but it looks too.. overdone, too fake.. I get it. thanks a lot, a lot, a looooot Critty! by the way.. i must tell you.. i thought you were somewhere in your mid to late 20s to be honest, you look so fresh and young! congratulations, how do you do that? dunno.. but i look waaaay older than I actually am :))))))

I am sure you wear your makeup fabulously!!!! Thanks, you are so sweet :) I stay outta the sun and use eye cream so I am trying to delay the again as much as I can! Looking older at 17 is much different than looking older at 34, you look gorgeous! :)

Ha! I have never noticed anyone floating - it just must be a by-product of the videos!! You are so sweet and I would gladly trade to look like you :) You might want to try the Vichy Oglio eye gel, it's in a little twist up container, it is sooo soothing, especially in the summer. if you get puffy eyes, it is great to keep in the fridge :)
