Great question Lolita! There are no hard and fast rules about texture but I like to play it easy, I have 2 shimmery areas on my face at once. If my eyes are shimmery, I may do a shimmery blush, or glossy lips, but not both. That is just my personal preference ... and the older you get, the more you want to done down the shimmer. At 34 I don't want to be a sparkly mess :) As for on the eyes, I usually use all shimmery or sheen products, but that is because I have very little matte shadows. Plus as you blend, you tend to give everything a shimmery or sheen-look. I like shimmer or sheen, but not frost, as you age, frost becomes your enemy and we are new enemies, but you are young and don't have to worry about that for a long time! My highlight color (inner eyes and brows) is always shimmery. So basically, after my long ramble, do whatever looks good on your skin tone and what looks the best to you :)

Current obsessions: MUFE HD Foundation (Pink Porcelain), UD Book of Shadows palette and UD 24/7 Travel Sets (both of them) and HBO's True Blood.
