It was a Dark & Smoky Night

For abso-smurfly no reason I decided to create a dark smoky eye today.  It looks very silly with my t-shirt and shorts, but I was in a smoky eye sorta mood, ya know?  With all of these fall collections coming out, I wanted a smoky eye too!

 

 

None of the close ups where in focus, so I am not posting those.  Also my shadow looks uneven, but it was just because the light was hitting one side of my face, I promise!!  

I started off the Revlon primer again, this time using a teeny, tiny, itsy, bitty amount and the smell was tolerable - this tube is going to last me forever!!  I was having a pretty good face day, rosacea-wise, so I just used some MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Light with my Smashbox kabuki and Too Faced Shadow Insurance on my lids.  I used my lovely Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen in Candle Light 002 under my eyes and in my nasal folds (puppet lines).

On my eyes I started with Benefit Cosmetics Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Strut all over the lid and really got in between my lashes.  I also used it on the lower lash line and waterline, today is my last day with these contacts, so I thought I would try it on the waterline, but it doesn't feel that great, so I don't rec it.  I then used UD Zero shadow (I have it in the Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow Box) on my lid and blended it up into the crease and lined with it under the Strut along my lower lash line.  I then used UD Polyester Bride (which I have in the Urban Decay Urban Ammo Eye Palette) as a highlight and blended it down into the zero, making a grey color, and did the same on the lower lash line.  I topped off the eyes with Cover Girl Lash Bast in Navy.

Cheeks are a light sweep of L'Oreal True Match Blush in Baby Blossom and on the lips, a touch of L'Oreal Made for Me Naturals in Cashmere.

Mr. Critty is going to be suprised when he gets home and I am all makeuped up with no place to go.  And I am going to tell him "get into the den and get working on that server!!" so a fun night in store - lol.  It is my sister's engagement par-tay on Sunday so there will be plenty of family time this weekend.  Anybody have any exciting plans?

I second that by B ...You look HOT ....the makeup looks really nice but I must say I so love your hair ...it looks so nice and smooth and shiney ..... Enjoy the party and family ....and whatever else comes up :)

I'm loving the hair. And the makeup! It looks so nice, I would definetly tell Mr. Critty to take me out to dinner tonight!

Lol, you guys are funny! I bought some new velcro rollers today so hopefully we can have more good hair days around here!
