Bobbi Brown - The Mauve Look

First off, how gorgeous is that model?  She is perfection!  Bobbi Brown has come out with another beautiful collection of wearable shades ... how does she keep doing it?  And how do you pronounce "mauve"?  Mow-vuh or maaawve?  I am a mow-vuh person. 

 

The Mauve Face Palette has such pretty colors.  You know I love me some palettes- more makeup for less money!  I bought the Blue Raspberry palette in the Spring which had the same layout, but I did not like how the eyeshadow or blush powder crumbs could get into the lipsticks.  I am anal about stuff like that, I like my palettes all powder or all cream.  Also Bobbi's shadows make my eyes itch, so I am not going to be getting this ... but it is so wearable it makes me want it even though I won't use it!

Something I am excited to try is the water-resistant Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in NEW Black Mauve Shimmer Ink, a black mauve infused with bronze and gold pearl pigments.  I think I actually got a shiver reading that!  How I have lived 34 years with not owning this liner is completely beyond me, I NEED this now!!  I imagine this will be beautiful with brown or hazel eyes ...

 

The lipsticks and glosses look like something I will need to check out as well!  I am a big fan or roses, plums and mauves.  These look like shades that will look good on a lot of different skin tones ... and will be perfect for Fall.   

If you can't afford Bobbi Brown or don't like her products or whatever, I am not posting this just for advertising, I am posting to show you what is going to be hot this fall ... if Bobbi is doing it, chances are it is going to be a HUGE trend.  My goal is not just to spit out PR stuff to you, but to inform you of trends and products that are interesting.  You have now learned mauve will be a big look this fall, consider your self "in the know" now :)  And yes, i will be posting a review of that liner as soon as I get it in my hot little hands!!

my god......that model's cheeks are freaking amazing!!! so on to the collection......i think mauves are really one of those everybody colors along with taupes. I like to think of these 2 colors as the step between neutrals and colors. They reall complement all skin tones and are a great place to start exploring with color! this look awesome but i'm with you on the powder/cream combo thing! i hate that!!!!
