One more sleep untli Sephora opens near me ... I'm not sure it is sane to be this excited!
Today I did a video tut (coming up next) on how to do your eye makeup when wearing glasses, so my look is all about the glasses.

As you can see, just a bit of makeup is all you need to add drama to your eyes when wearing specs. The most important thing to add is lightness, I did this with concealer and then with a shimmery shadow on the inner corner and along the lower lash line.
I started with an illuminatng concealer, Dior SkinFlash Radiance Booser Pen in 002 right along my circles under my eyes, and the inner and outer corners of my eyes. PrettyByWhitty also recommends Boots No7 Radiant Glow Concealer, which I have not yet tried, but am excited to.
Filled in my brows with Smashbox Brow Tech Duo in Taupe. On my lids I applied BeneFit's Cream Creaseless Shadow / Liner in Pre Nup (Spring 08) and blended with my finger up to the crease. On the lower lashline and inner corner of my eye I used MAC Pigment in Vanilla. finished the eyes with CoverGirl LashBlast mascara.
On my cheeks I have MAC Beauty Powder Blush in True Romantic. On my lips (another tutorial coming up on how to make your lips look bigger) I have Avon Luxury Lip Liner in Baby Pink, Dior lipstick in Mauve Selection, NYX Mega Shine lip gloss in Clear and MAC pigment in Vanilla.
It's a good day to be wearing my glasses as I am spending all day on the computer.
What are you wearing today?
That looks so pretty! Can't wait to see the video. Do you advise always using lighter eyeshadow colors with glasses?

It looks like it will be an hour before it is live ... slow today :) I would say go with a light to midtone color. You'll see in the video I added the light shimmer underneath my eye because it was still kinda dark under my glasses. You want to pop your eyes through the glasses, so try anything that will make your eyes brighter. You don't want to lose your eyes ... they are the windows to your soul after all :)

Hello! Today, I tried the brown/purple smoky look. I used MAC Patina and Satin Taupe on the inner half of my lid, and MAC Sketch on the outer, and just blended my little heart out. And used Shore Leave (from Nauty Nauticals) as my highlight. I have dark purple eyeliner, and just black mascara, and clearish/pinkish gloss on my lips. Let me just say, I am always on the search for the perfect highlighter, and I think I may have found it in Shore Leave. At one time, I had the perfect highlight, but I lost it in Hurricane Katrina. Let me just clear that up, I didn't loose my house or anything, but the hospital I was working at got flooded. And my little bit of makeup that I had brought with me, was in my locker, on the first floor, and got flooded out. Don't ask me why I brought makeup with me, but I did. And whenever I got around to replacing that shade, Merle Norman discontinued it. I searched forever to see if any store had any left, but none did! Ugh, I was so hurt. But anyway, I have about 8 different highlighters now, from different brands, but I think I like Shore Leave the most! But it will never top the Merle Norman one I had.

Brown and purple smokiness is intriguing! I wanna see a pic! I still haven't checked out the NN collection, but am going to the mall tomorrow for Sephora, so I will definitely check out Shore Leave. That sucks sad your fave highlighter was lost, but thank god you were ok. Have you contacted Three Custom Color in NYC? They make things that have been discontinued, and maybe someone has already requested your color. I have a MAC Haze eyeshadow from a zillion years ago that I am going to send them to duplicate. It might be worth a shot for you ...
